Project Brief: The Slowly Made Locals Popup is a collaborative project bringing a small group of like-minded local creatives together and creating an innovative space to showcase their intentionally made goods.
We individually sell our goods predominantly online and occasionally at markets. Creating a collaborative popup space for the entire month of October gives our combined audience the opportunity to interact with us and more time to browse, consider and touch. Meeting our followers and interacting with other creatives is a very rewarding part of our creative life.
Vacant Assembly provides a truly innovative space to create something special for our visitors. We will be bringing small batches of goods designed and made with a lot of consideration and love.
Featured Artists:
Alessia Emanuele @alessiaeart
Alessia's vessels evoke a sense of nostalgia with happy and colourful characters, dreamed up from her own universe. Alessia aims to lead a gentle life and hopes her pieces encourage others to softly embrace their inner child
Alice’s Earth by Cath @alices_earth
From croissant shaped key-rings and dinosaur earrings to engraved fine line florals. Cath’s love of cartoon-style line drawing is evident in all her designs
Bec English Ceramics @becenglish_ceramics
Bec creates functional and decorative stoneware that is designed to add beauty to our daily lives. Sharing meals with friends and family using beautiful vessels is a treasured ritual in her home and she loves being able to offer products for others to cherish and enjoy.
Happy Days The Label @happydaysthelabel
I truly love putting garments together and creating new designs that compliment a womens body. Our brand originally had worked with older vintage fabrics but has now started working with lush fabrics such as hemp, linen, and cotton
Laura Armstrong Jewellery @lc.jewellery
Laura ’ s work is centred on the Lost Wax Casting technique, which enables her to create organic and textural forms with recycled precious metals and ethically sourced gemstones. Considered design is at the forefront of her practice
Ukiyo Boutique @ukiyoboutique
Using only beautiful fabrics, especially linens from Lithuania and other European countries, Gerry designs her dresses to be flattering but practical, cool in Summer, to be layered in Winter and to be reached for time and time again
