A night for takayna

A nationwide mini-film festival featuring films from the threatened forests of takayna.

We are hosting a community film night on Feb 11 at Vacant Assembly to share what has been happening in takayna (Tarkine) in NW Tasmania. Mining companies are destroying some of the most ancient and crucial stands of forest - and activists are blockading right now but need support and help from around the country. Will be great to see people come down watch some beautiful films and learn more about what can be done to protect these irreplaceable forests ❤️🧡

About the night:

It is one of the last intact wilderness's left on earth. Yet, a staggering 90% of this remarkable wilderness is under imminent threat from logging and mining.
