Thank you for participating in this year’s Block Show!
SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Please note this exhibition has no limitations on subject matter or theme.
3D WORKS
Maximum Dimensions: 200mm x 400mm x 200mm
The work should aim to ‘fill’ this size volume but can have voids and hollows. The goal is that the work reaches these dimensions in at least 3 directions. There are no restrictions on materials or medium. Multimedia, projection and video works are welcome (within these dimensional restrictions), we will work with you to provide power and solve installation challenges/ requirements.
If the work is intended to be displayed on a wall, it must be ‘ready to hang’ with D rings, wire etc. We will presume it is to be displayed on a horizontal surface unless you tell us otherwise.

The work should be as close to these dimensions as possible. Note, if you are framing the work, the outside limits of the frame must be 200mm x 400mm. The work can be portrait or landscape.
There are no restrictions on materials or medium. Multimedia, projection and video works are welcome (within these dimensional restrictions), we will work with you to provide power and solve installation challenges/ requirements.
Framing is not a requirement but the work must be ‘ready to hang’ with D rings, wire or a deep timber frame.

CURATION / INSTALLATION
Vacant Assembly (Sarah, Sam & Laura) will curate and install the show.
ARTWORK SALES
Vacant Assembly will charge 25% commission on sales.
VA will manage all artwork sales and collections (not delivery) of sold work.
Artists will need to invoice VA for the sale amount minus commission in the week following the show and VA will promptly transfer the funds.
The fees will cover the cost of preparing, curating & hosting the exhibition, card fees and installation supplies. Any ‘profits’ will go directly to growing Vacant Assembly into the place we dream of. (At the moment we’re dreaming of creating a luscious garden in the front yard that extends the gallery and gathering spaces out to the street).

Opening Event: Friday 6th December 6pm till late.
Show Continues: Saturday 7th 12pm-4pm, Sunday 8th December 10am-4pm.
