CONTACT brings together the work of fifteen local artists continuing their arts education and practice through a changed world. Earlier this year as the world population struggled to come to terms with the coronavirus outbreak, we continued our work as best we could. For many of us studying at the TAFE Southbank campus this meant a rush to gather materials so we could continue work at home. Impromptu ceramics, painting, drawing and sculpture studios popped up in our homes. We suddenly had to communicate with our teachers only through Zoom and email.  

This exhibition is our first opportunity to show the result of works from this time in person. With human contact. We look forward to sharing reflections on working through this unparalleled time, and our triumph in meeting that challenge to share our work.
