Hemma Sweet Hem/ At Home Sweet Home

Printmaking By Judy Pascoe and Isabelle Nilsson

This exhibition grew out of a collaboration between the Gloucestershire Printmaking Co-operative and ‘Grafiska Sallskapet’, the Swedish printmakers association in Stockholm. 

This new body of work shifts focus from the previous exhibition Saker varda att laga/ Things that are worth mending to Hemma Sweet Hem/At Home Sweet Home a study of the personal and domestic.

About the Artists

Isabelle Nilsson, born 1990, is an artist and printmaker from Grytgöl, Sweden. She went to printmaking school Grafikskolan in Stockholm and has studied illustration at HDK Valand, Göteborgs university.

She is part of  Grafiska sällskapet, the printmaking association of Sweden. Over the years she has exhibited in many different venues both in Sweden and abroad. Her work has been exhibited in hospitals, schools and other public areas all over Sweden.

Judy Pascoe has a background in theatre and live performance (Circus Oz) and is a published author. (Our Father Who Art in the Tree)

In later years she began drawing and painting taking classes at the Royal Drawing School (London) and the London Print Studio. She creates original handmade prints working mainly with collagraph and etching, often of a domestic scene or a loved object. 

Judy has exhibited her work in the Royal Academy Summer exhibition (London) and the Royal West of England Academy Open Exhibition (Bristol).  She is a member of the Gloucestershire Print Co-operative.
