When You See It by KIRRALEE ROBINSON
Opening Celebrations 27 November 6-9pm
Exhibition continues Saturday and Sunday 10am-2pm
Walk through with the artist Sunday 29 November 10am
Kirralee Robinson’s debut solo exhibition When you see it is a sculptural installation that explores spatial and ocular phenomena. Kirralee questions her sight limitations caused by Congenital Myopia and takes a deeper look into the dynamic relationships created between objects, space and viewers. Participants are encouraged to observe this exhibition in an active manner and discover how objects can seem to change in space. Kirralee’s process includes the creation of raw, neutral forms and she uses line, space, suggested space, and anticipated movement. Her practice is directed by an unquenchable drive to create with her own hands and she uses this as motivation to interrogate her observational capabilities and to push her skill levels forward. The walk through on Sunday 29th November is an opportunity to see the space from Kirralee’s perspective; to learn how the pieces were made and to ask Kirralee questions about her practice.
