Going Cold

  • Vacant Assembly 266 Montague Road West End, QLD, 4101 Australia (map)

Going Cold is a multidisciplinary, group exhibition created by twelve emerging artists from Meanjin. Through painting, sculpture, photography, digital media and multimedia works the collective responds to experiences that question and deconstruct binaries.

The threshold perpetuates as a motif across the varying artworks. And in these moments of ambiguity, whereby the past is momentarily negated and the future has not yet begun, pure potentiality exists.  Could the vail between realms, if perceived with subjectivity and emotion, propel the discovery of a deeper connection between ourselves and places, memories and the very moment itself. Going Cold asks is it dusk or dawn? Is it happening now or then? What fills this vacant space until it is leased?
